IMA-Fire Protection Services-Pound Ridge Fire District  
AN ACT authorizing the County of Westchester to enter into an inter-municipal agreement  
with the Pound Ridge Fire District for the provision of fire protection services, for a term  
commencing retroactively on January 1, 2025 and expiring on December 31, 2029.

This item would authorize the County to enter into an intermunicipal agreement with the  
Pound Ridge Fire District to provide fire services to the northern section of Pound Ridge,  
Public Safety & Veterans

which lies outside the boundaries of its fire districts. This agreement must be renewed in  
five year increments. The Department of Emergency Services also seeks to enhance fire  
service capabilities in remote park areas through the installation of a new shed. The shed will  
house rescue equipment, improving emergency response times in wooded areas. Ongoing  
collaboration between the County and local fire services continues to address the unique  
challenges of park safety and emergency response.  
On motion of Legislator Cunzio, seconded by Legislator Smith, the above item was signed by  
committee and referred to Board of Legislators. The motion carried by the following vote:
